Bill Caption

Relating to information for foster children who are pregnant or minor parents.

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

HB 475 would require the Department of Family and Protective Services to provide children in a conservatorship who are pregnant or are minor parents information on and support in providing safe environments for children.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Since this is a matter that does not concern liberty principles, Texas Action has a neutral stance towards HB 475. However, this bill appears to be sound public policy, and the state has a legitimate interest in keeping these families together and out of foster care.
