HB 475 would require the Department of Family and Protective Services to provide children in a conservatorship who are pregnant or are minor parents information on and support in providing safe environments for children.
Since this is a matter that does not concern liberty principles, Texas Action has a neutral stance towards HB 475. However, this bill appears to be sound public policy, and the state has a legitimate interest in keeping these families together and out of foster care.
