Relating to establishing an advisory board to study surface water and groundwater interaction.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 4570 would establish the Surface Water and Groundwater Interaction Advisory Board and require it to study: (1) the extent to which surface water and groundwater interact in the state; (2) challenges arising in Texas from the interaction of surface water and groundwater; and (3) approaches to mitigating challenges arising in Texas from the interaction of surface water and groundwater. The board would submit a report by December 1, 2020, and the bill's provisions would expire January 1, 2021.
