Bill Analysis

HB 4130 would amend current election law to allow certain certified electronic devices to be utilized to accept voters at a polling place. Relevant standards would be prescribed and rules would be adopted by the Secretary of State. This bill specifies requirements that must be met, and capabilities that must be deliverable, by the device.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action remains neutral on SB 4130 as it does not affect any of our liberty principles.
