HB 405 would designate June as Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
Awareness Month. Neonatal Abstinence
Syndrome a term for a group of problems a baby experiences when withdrawing from
exposure to narcotics. The bill
is intended to encourage awareness, cooperation between federal and state
agencies, and availability of resources for mothers to combat drug use.
Bills designating dates or months to raise awareness for particular causes do not affect our liberty principles and we remain neutral.
