Bill Analysis

HB 4008 would require a site selection organization for a major event or the organization hosting the event to submit their plan to prevent human trafficking to the human trafficking prevention task force. They are currently required to submit a plan to the office of the Attorney General and the chief of the Texas Division of Emergency Management. If an event fails to submit a plan in a timely manner and loses funding, the event could still receive funding if the event submits a plan at least a week before and implements it during the event.
