HB 3012 would require school districts to provide suspended students (for both in-school and out-of-school suspensions) a means to receive all course work provided in the classes in the foundation curriculum during the time the student would miss class as a result of the suspension. Districts would be required to provide at least one option that does not require use of the internet.
Texas Action supports HB 3012 which supports individual liberty and personal responsibility by providing a means for suspended students to keep up with course work during the time of suspension.
