Bill Analysis

HB 295 would designate March 30 as Master Sergeant Jonathan J. Dunbar Day. Master Sergeant Dunbar was a native Texas and member of the U.S. Army who was killed in Syria in 2018 while supporting the military intervention against ISIS.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Memorial resolutions do not affect our liberty principles and we remain neutral. We do join the legislature in honoring Master Sargent Dunbar and his family, and in thanking them for his (and their) service to our nation.
