Relating to certain requirements for and limitations on
design-build contracts for highway projects of the Texas Department
of Transportation.
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 2830 would allow the Texas Department of Transportation to enter into an additional three design-build contracts per state biennium. The bill would additionally repeal the requirement that a proposed design submitted as a part of the contract be schematic in nature.
