Relating to reporting the number of incidents of bullying and cyberbullying in a school district and open-enrollment charter school through the Public Education Information Management System.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 2642 would require school districts and open-enrollment charter schools to annually report through the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) the number of reported incidents of bullying that have occurred on campus. Schools would be required to specify the number of incidents of bullying that included cyberbullying.
Texas Action remains neutral on HB 2642 because it does not impact our principles.
