According to the Legislative Budget Board, no fiscal impact to the state is anticipated.
HB 2566 would allow Cameron County to adopt and enforce certain orders to: (1) control the disposal of litter and removal of illegally dumped litter from public or private property; and (2) regulate the storage or abandonment of property, including tires and appliances, on public or private property that creates a nuisance or habitat conducive to mosquito breeding. These orders would only apply to unincorporated areas of the county.
Texas Action remains neutral on HB 2566 because it does not affect our liberty principles.
