Bill Analysis

HB 2363 would allow possession of lawfully permitted firearms and ammunition in an agency foster home. It requires that the minimum standards must allow firearms and ammunition to be stored together in the same locked location. Currently, minimum standards require firearms and ammunition to be stored separately in locked locations.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action supports HB 2363 because it expands the lawful storage options of firearms for foster parents; ensuring that the principles of individual liberty and limited government are maintained.
