Bill Caption

Relating to the licensure and registration of persons engaged in certain activities pertaining to compressed natural gas or liquefied natural gas containers and systems.

Fiscal Notes

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

HB 2127 would eliminate the occupational licensing requirement for the manufacture of compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas containers, and instead require registration with the Railroad Commission.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action supports HB 2127 because it promotes limited government and free markets by replacing an occupational licensing requirement with a less-burdensome registration requirement for certain manufacturers.
