Bill Analysis

HB 1872 would require the removal of a county judicial officer's or candidate's home address and names of dependent children from any financial statement or records derived from a financial statement prior to making those statements or records available to the public.

Vote Recommendation Notes

This legislation supports limited government and individual liberty by properly redacting personal information from certain public documents filed by judicial office holders or candidates for office. We support HB 1872.
