Relating to the authority of certain municipal employees to request
the removal and storage of certain abandoned or illegally parked or
operated vehicles.
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 1568 would provide municipalities more flexibility in removing illegally parked, illegally operated, or abandoned vehicles by allowing them to designate an employee other than a peace officer to request the towing of such a vehicle.
Texas Action remains neutral on HB 1568 as it does not affect any of our liberty principles.
