Bill Caption

Relating to the regulation of industrialized housing and buildings.

Fiscal Notes

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

HB 1385 would remove height restrictions from industrialized residential housing and industrialized commercial structures. Current law caps both of these categories of industrialized housing at not more than four stories or 60 feet high. Industrialized structures are modular, prefabricated buildings.

Vote Recommendation Notes

HB 1385 would remove a potentially arbitrary height restriction from the industrialized residential and commercial building industries. This supports limited government and free markets. We support HB 1385.
