Bill Analysis

HB 1351 would require all information provided to the Texas Veterans Commission by veterans to be confidential and not subject to disclosure under public information law. It would also except certain personal identifying information of current or former members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, or Marine Corps, an auxiliary service of one of those branches of the armed forces, or the Texas military forces.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action supports HB 1351 because it promotes individual liberty and limited government by protecting confidential information provided by veterans and military members.
