Bill Analysis

HB 1326 would continue the functions and responsibilities of the Texas Military Department through 2031. This bill would change the title of Executive Director of the department to the Director of State Administration. The new requirements would include that the Director of State Administration is responsible for the oversight of the day to day functions of the department. HB 1326 also redefines the responsibilities of the Adjutant General to include additional oversight of the department, compliance procedure creation, and overall implementation of policies for the Texas Military Department.
