Bill Analysis

SB 751 would amend the Government Code to add that any information written, produced, collected, assembled, or maintained by or for the military base realignment and closure task force is confidential and exempt from disclosure during the task force’s existence. Next, the abolishment of the task force would be delayed until September 1, 2021. Finally, once abolished, the information would be transferred to the Texas Military Preparedness Commission and made public.

This is a procedural bill regarding the confidentiality of information and the abolishment date of the military base realignment and closure task force and neither uplifts of offends our liberty principles. We remain neutral.
