Bill Analysis

This bill would clarify certain procedures that deal with the transition of certain special needs children out of the public school system. It would also add to the requirements for what must be provided to students and families. The bill would require the commissioner of education by rule to adopt procedures with respect to referring a student or the student's parents to a governmental agency for services or public benefits.
