Relating to excluding
certain students from the computation of dropout and completion rates for
purposes of public school accountability.
Under current law, the state has certain standards that govern how to compute completion and dropout rates as a measure of public school accountability. This bill would stipulate that those students who are detained in the juvenile detention facility are not eligible to be counted in the dropout and completion rates for accountability purposes.
