Relating to the appointment of the commissioners of the health and human services agencies by the governor.
Fiscal Notes
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
Currently the executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission appoints the commissioners of the Department of State Health
Services and the Department of Family and Protective Services. This bill would would instead vest the governor with authority to make those appointments with the advice and consent of the Senate.
