Fiscal Notes

Funds for SB 667, As Engrossed: a negative impact of ($7,249,446) through the
biennium ending August 31, 2019.
Bill Analysis
This bill would create the Guardianship Compliance Program to review the guardianships of wards and identify deficiencies in guardianship cases. The office would be required to submit an annual report to the legislature on the performance of the program. The bill also would allow the director to notify the State Commission on Judicial Conduct if they have reason to believe a judge has acted in a way that constitutes judicial misconduct.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This bill would help give greater accountability to guardianship programs, however, this bill is largely a procedural change that does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral on this legislation.
