Bill Caption
Relating to services provided by the Health and Human Services Commission to sexually violent offenders who are incompetent to attend sex offender treatment.
Fiscal Notes
From the LBB: No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
This bill would require that a committed person who has been determined to be mentally unable to effectively participate in sex offender treatment be provided by the Health and Human Services Commission inpatient mental health services until the person is able to participate effectively in the treatment program.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This is a procedural change that is within the scope of government to address and does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral on this legislation.
