Bill Caption
Relating to the disposition of proceeds from the sale of freshwater fishing stamps issued by the Parks and Wildlife Department.
Fiscal Notes
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
Under current law, net receipts from collectible freshwater fishing stamp sales may only be spent on maintenance, repair, renovation, or replacement of freshwater fish hatcheries. SB 573 would allow these funds to also be applied to freshwater fish habitats, freshwater fisheries, and freshwater angler access.
Vote Recommendation Notes
SB 573 neither uplifts nor offends our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
