Bill Analysis
SB 520 would amend the Insurance Code to add that the department of insurance may now issue a provisional permit for a life agent upon receipt of an application, fee, and certificate signed by the appointing agent, insurer, or health maintenance organization.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This bill enhances our free market and limited government principles by decreasing regulation on life agent licenses making it easier for an individual to earn a living. We support SB 520.
