Bill Analysis
This would prohibit municipalities and counties from enforcing any regulation on the sale, purchase, or manufacture of firearms, air guns, knives, ammunition, or related supplies. It would also prohibit the imposition of a tax not authorized by state law.
Vote Recommendation Notes
We support reigning in the authority of local government which can infringe on the second amendment rights of citizens. For this reason, we support SB 459.
