Bill Caption

Relating to the grounds for refusal, cancellation, or suspension of certain alcoholic beverage licenses.

Fiscal Notes

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

Under current law, an application for the sale of certain alcoholic beverages can be refused, cancelled, or suspended if the premises of sale does not have running water and properly identified toilets. SB 371 would remove this requirement in the evaluation of applications.

Vote Recommendation Notes

This bill supports the free market and limited government by reducing government imposed barriers to obtaining a license to sell certain alcoholic beverages. For these reasons we support SB 371.
