Fiscal Notes
From the Legislative Budget Board: No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
SB 27 would define a “peer service coordinator” as a person who recruits and retains veterans, peers, and volunteers to participate in the mental health program for veterans. Next, the Texas Veterans Commission would provide certification training and technical assistance to peer service coordinators in the mental health program and intervention program for veterans.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This is a procedural bill regarding peer service coordinators in the mental health program for veterans and The Texas Veterans Commission's duties and does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
