Bill Caption
Relating to the bulk purchase of information technology commodity items by the Department of Information Resources.
Fiscal Notes
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
Under current law, there are several stipulations regarding the number of vendors consulted in purchasing contracts for technological equipment, as well as the maximum value of the contracts ($1 million). SB 261 would remove these regulations on Department of
Information Resources contracts for the bulk purchase of items intended for use by more than one state agency.
Vote Recommendation Notes
SB 261 neither uplifts nor offends our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
