Fiscal Notes

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

SB 2265 would expand the territory of the Gulf Coast Waste Disposal Authority to include Jefferson and Orange counties and would change the composition of the board. This bill would also make provision for a project to construct a coastal barrier along the coastal spine to protect areas vulnerable to damage from hurricane-induced storm surges, provided there is sufficient funding. If such a project is undertaken, an advisory committee would be established for the duration of the project.

Vote Recommendation Notes

This local bill does not substantially affect our liberty principles. We remain neutral.
