Bill Analysis
SB 1963 would prohibit educator preparation programs from mandating face to face observation and evaluations of certain teacher certification candidates in an educator preparation program. This would require the program to be flexible and allow evaluations to take place via audio/visual transmission means.

This bill promotes flexibility and efficiency for those working to obtain a certificate in teaching in an educator preparation program. This upholds our limited government principle and therefore, we support this bill.
