Bill Analysis
SB 1954 would clarify statute regarding selection of and enrollment in the Optional Retirement Program ORP by requiring a person who becomes eligible to participate in the ORP to elect to participate in the program by a certain period. Furthermore, this bill would allow additional time for selection of ORP in the event eligible employees are not properly notified, and procedures would be established for the correction of certain errors regarding member contributions and participation.
Vote Recommendation Notes
SB 1954 does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
