SB 1942 would prohibit school districts from adopting rules restricting the storing, carrying, or transporting of a firearm or ammunition in a privately owned car by someone with a license to carry.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This bill supports the principles of limited government and individual liberty by creating a new protection for the Second Amendment rights of Texans as it relates to school districts. For this reason, we support SB 1942.
