Bill Caption
Relating to the administrative judicial regions in this state.
Fiscal Notes
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
Under current law, counties are grouped into nine administrative judicial regions. SB 1893 would increase the number of regions to 11 and reallocate the grouping of the counties. The bill would also require presiding judges of each administrative region to collect and report information regarding the amount and character of any business transacted by the judges.
Vote Recommendation Notes
SB 1893 neither uplifts nor offends our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
