Bill Caption

Relating to the creation of a nutrition education task force.

Fiscal Notes

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

SB 1692 would create a Nutrition Education Task Force, dedicated to teaching school students the importance of a nutritional diet.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Not only are similar programs already in place but the existing programs are unnecessary. Schools should be teaching children the necessary academics in order for them to succeed in the professional or higher education environment. Nutrition is important, but something that is the responsibility of parents to teach. For these reasons, we oppose SB 1692.
