Bill Analysis

SB 1440 would amend the Government Code to exclude the attendance by a quorum of a governmental body at a candidate forum, appearance, or debate to inform the electorate from open meetings requirements so long as no formal action or discussions occur.   

Vote Recommendation Notes

This is a procedural bill regarding open meetings and neither uplifts or offends our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
