Bill Analysis
SB 1286 would require the comptroller to prescribe the manner, form, and security requirements in which a person must provide a copy of material to the board for record keeping. Specifications would also be set for the audio/visual equipment provided by an appraisal district for use by a property owner.
In addition to removal provisions in current code, the comptroller shall remove a person from the qualified arbitrator registry if they determine there is good and convincing cause to do so. Lastly, new procedures for the eligibility and appointment of an arbitrator would be created.
