Bill Analysis
SB 1260 is a local bill that would grant the Chambers County Improvement District No. 2 authority to convey and implement authorized road projects. The district would also be given wider authority to impose assessments.
Vote Recommendation Notes
While this bill would modify and expand the authority of an existing special purpose district, due to the limited local nature of this bill we are neutral on SB 1260. We do recommend that this district be subject to sunset provisions so it does not operate in perpetuity.
