Bill Caption
Relating to the appointment and duties of court investigators for certain courts in guardianship proceedings.
Fiscal Notes
From the LBB: No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
This bill would allow a judge of a probate court other than a statutory probate court to appoint a court investigator if the appointment is authorized by the commissioners court. The bill also adds the provision that a court investigator shall supervise a court visitor program if the court for which the investigator is appointed operates that type of program.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This is a procedural change that does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
