Bill Analysis
HCR 56 would recognize Texas as a Purple Heart State and encourage government agencies to serve veterans with the same degree of devotion demonstrated by members of the armed forces.
Vote Recommendation Notes
Honoring those who have served our nation and been awarded the Purple Heart is a worthy endeavor. Honorific resolutions do not directly affect our liberty principles but we join the legislature in saluting our Purple Heart Texans. We are grateful for their sacrifices and service to our nation.
