Bill Caption
Urging Congress to direct the Bureau of Land Management to
affirm the provisions of the Red River Boundary Compact and to acknowledge that
the vegetation line on the south bank of the Red River forms the boundary
between Oklahoma and Texas.
Bill Analysis
This resolution would urge the US Congress to direct the Bureau of Land Management to affirm that the vegetation line on the south bank of the Red River is the boundary between Oklahoma and Texas.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This bill furthers our limited government and property rights principles by urging Congress to direct the Bureau of Land Management to affirm the boundary between Texas and Oklahoma in the Red River Boundary Compact, so that Texans who own private property may retain their rights to their own property around the boundary.
