Bill Caption
Relating to procedures for the dissolution of a county hospital authority.
Fiscal Notes
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
HB 594, if enacted, would amend current Health and Safety Code by adding a
subsection that would provide county commissioners the option of dissolving a
county hospital authority provided the commissioners court created the
authority and the authority’s assets and liabilities were transferred to the
county.
Vote Recommendation Notes
The authority to make clarifications on the transfer
of assets between certain political subdivisions is clearly within the
legitimate responsibility of the government, the provisions of this bill have
no relationship to our liberty principles. HB 594 neither uplifts nor
offends our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
