Bill Caption

Relating to the transfer of certain revenue into the state parks account.

Fiscal Notes

No significant fiscal implication to the state is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

Under current law, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department must transfer 15% of all amounts collected during the previous month from vessel registration fees, vessel manufacturer or dealer licensing fees, and vessel and outboard motor titling fees to the state parks account. HB 448 would make it optional for the Parks and Wildlife Department to transfer no more than 15% of those funds.

Vote Recommendation Notes

This updates state park account funding procedures and does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
