Bill Caption

Relating to mental health first aid training for university employees.

Fiscal Notes

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

This bill would require the Department of State Health Services to make grants to local mental health authorities to the extent funds are appropriated to provide first aid training to university employees at no cost to the employees.

Vote Recommendation Notes

This is a grant program that already exists under current law, and simply adds university employees to the list of people who would get training at no cost. For this reason we remain neutral.
