Bill Analysis

This bill would require that an early voting clerk notify the voter registrar if an application provides a date of birth, driver’s license number, or social security number on the applicant’s application for an early voting ballot by mail or federal postcard application different from the information maintained by the voter registrar, and would require the voter registrar to update the voter’s record with the new information. This bill would also give the secretary of state the authority to delete duplicate registration records.

Vote Recommendation Notes

This bill would support limited government by helping to protect the integrity of elections and make the process of registering voters and maintaining voter registration records more efficient.
