Relating to annual limitations on the reimbursement of expenses
incurred by district court reporters.
Fiscal Notes
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
Under
current law, a court reporter may not receive more than the maximum
reimbursement amount set in the reporter’s judicial district in any one year.
If this bill passes, they may receive more than the maximum reimbursement if their
expenses exceed the judicial district’s cap and if the commissioners courts of
the county approves the additional reimbursement.
