85(R) - 2017
Relating to the deposit of money received from the federal government and the authority of the comptroller concerning related funds and accounts.
From the LBB: a positive impact of $825,105,000 through the biennium ending in August 31, 2019.
HB 40 would amend the Government Code to add that the comptroller may not deposit to the credit of the general revenue fund money received from the federal government. The comptroller would account for and administer federal money separately in a manner that ensures federal money is used for the purposes for which federal money is received. This would be accomplished through either designating or creating a fund or account in the treasury or merging, consolidating, or segregating funds or accounts.
