Bill Analysis

This bill would grant a victim of family violence who is receiving services at a family violence center the right to refuse to disclose, or to prevent another from disclosing, a communication between the victim and an advocate employed by the family violence center.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Allowing victims of violence to have confidential and privileged communications with service providers satisfies our commitment to individual liberty. For this reason, we support HB 3649.
