This bill would make calls to a public safety agency or public safety answering point confidential with disclosure being allowed only under certain circumstances.
Vote Recommendation Notes
Transparency in government is important but that does not mean that all information should be fully open to public disclosure. This bill strikes a balance by allowing certain emergency calls to be confidential which benefits individual liberty while allowing for disclosure in certain circumstances which benefits limited government. We support this legislation.
